Basic Settings

In basic settings, you can configure all the basic settings such as Status, Word Per Minute, Select Post Type to Display etc.

1. Enable the Status Option:
   • By default, the status is set to disabled. Toggle the switch to enable article read time on your selected content types.
2. Set the Words Per Minute (WPM):
   • In the “Word Per Minute” field, set the reading speed based on your preference. The default value is 300 WPM, which reflects the average reading speed of an adult.
   • You can adjust this value based on your content’s audience or their reading level.
3. Select Post Types to Display Read Time:
   • Choose where you want the article read time to appear by toggling the following options:
     • Display on Post: Enable this option to show read time on posts.
     • Display on Page: Enable this option to display read time on pages.
     • Display on Attachment: Leave disabled if you do not want read time to appear on attachment pages.
     • Display on Product: Leave disabled if you do not want read time to appear on product pages.
4. Save Your Settings:
   • After configuring the settings, click the Save Settings button to apply the changes.
