Installing Instructions

1. Unzip the file downloaded plugin from codecanyon.  You can download all your purchased files from https://codecanyon.net/downloads
2. Upload all the files to the /wp-content/plugins/article-read-time
3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
4. For customizing the plugin’s settings, click on Subscribe to Unlock option menu in WordPress left admin menu.

OR

1. Open your Dashboard-> Plugins-> Add New
2. Click on Upload Plugin
3. Click on Choose File
4. Select the zip file downloaded from codecanyon and click Install Now
5. Once the plugin is installed click on Activate Plugin
6. You are done, to customize the plugin’s settings, click on Article Read Time option menu in WordPress left admin men

How to Update

As soon as you receive the update notification email from the codecanyon for our product "Article Read Time & Progress Bar", you can then go to your codecanyon account's download page and then download the latest update. You can view your downloads page from below link.

Once you download the latest version, please deactivate and delete the existing version plugin from your site and install and activate the latest downloaded version. And yes, all your settings and forms will remain as is even after you deactivate and delete and install the new version.

Basic Setup

As soon as the plugin is installed and activated, you will be able to view the Article Read Time menu in the left admin menu. And you can then click on that menu to see the settings page of plugins.

In this section you can view the basic settings options.

To display a section in frontend, you can  check the status and then configure the settings as per your need.

There are 3 different settings section as belows:

1. Basic Settings
2. Layout Settings
3. Customize

Basic Settings

In basic settings, you can configure all the basic settings such as Status, Word Per Minute, Select Post Type to Display etc.

Here are the description of individual options available in the basic settings.

1. Status - This will enable and disable the section in the frontend.
2. Word Per Minute - This is the words per minute read the article by user
3. Select Post Type - This will enable and disable the section in selected post type.

Paragraph Template Layout Settings

In this section, you can configure necessary settings related with the layout of the paragraph templates. You can choose any one templates from our 10 beautiful pre-designed templates of paragraph type.

Here are the options available in this section:

1. Display Section - This option includes the dropdown of display section like  beginning of content, end of content and both.
2. Display Type - This option includes display type like paragraph and block.
3. Choose Paragraph Template - This option includes 10 pre designed beautiful paragraph templates, you can choose any of them.
4. Heading Text - This option is to set heading text to display frontend.
5. Word/Character Count Message - This is a textarea option to display word/character count message in frontend.

Block Template Layout Settings

In this section, you can configure necessary settings related with the layout of the block templates. You can choose any one templates from our 10 beautiful pre-designed templates of and block type.

Here are the options available in this section:

1. Display Section - This option includes the dropdown of display section like  beginning of content, end of content and both.
2. Display Type - This option includes display type like paragraph and block.
3. Choose Paragraph Template - This option includes 10 pre designed beautiful block templates, you can choose any of them.
4. Heading Text - This option is to set heading text to display frontend.
5. Word Enable - This option will enable the word count section in frontend.
6. Word Label - This option is use for word label for frontend section.
7. Character Enable - This option will enable the character count section in frontend.
8. Character Label - This option is use for character label for frontend section.
9. Read Enable - TThis option will enable the read time section in frontend section.
10. Read Label - This option is use for read label for frontend section.

Customize

In this section you can customize the layout through our inbuilt color customization options. The options available in the section comes handy when the pre designed template doesn't fulfill your needs and you want to style the form as per your need.

Here are the available customization options for the custom color styling.

1. Custom CSS - If you need to enter any custom CSS to override the existing styling of our form then you can enter in this field.
2. Heading Text color - For customizing the heading text color.
3. Text Color - For customizing the text color.
4. Background Color - For customizing background color.
5. Icon Background Color - For customizing icon background color in block template.
6. Icon Symbol Color - For customizing icon symbol color in block template.

Progress Bar Settings

In this section you can customize the color and style through our inbuilt color customization options. The options available in the section comes handy when the pre designed template doesn't fulfill your needs and you want to style the form as per your need.

Here are the available customization options for the custom color styling.

1. Progress Bar Status - This will enable and disable the progress bar in the frontend.
2. Display Position - This is option to display progress bar position.
3. Display Styles - This is option to style progress, like normal and gradients.
4. Background Color - This is option to customizing background color of progress bar.
5. Primary Color - This is option to customizing primay color of progress bar.
6. Bar Thickness - This is option to customizing progress bar thickness to increase the size.
