Once you install and activate the plugin then you can add new menu items and configure all the necessary general settings related to the plugin from the general settings tab. In general settings, you will find the below options.

General Settings

Here are the descriptions of individual options available in the basic settings.

  1. Menu Title – This is the title of the menu that will be displayed on the front end. It helps users identify the menu section.
  2. Menu Items – This is the field that allows you to add individual menu items. Click the Add New Menu Item button to create and include additional items in your menu.

After clicking the Add New Menu Item button, you will see the options to configure a new menu item for your Floating Side Tab.

Tab Name

The Tab Name is displayed on the front end as the name of the tab. It helps users identify and navigate to specific tabs easily.

Tab Heading

The Tab Heading appears above the content in the tab. It provides a clear title for the content displayed within that specific tab.

Hide Tab Heading

When the Hide Tab Heading option is enabled, the heading of the tab will be hidden from view. This is useful if you want to show content without a visible heading.

Tooltip Text

The Tooltip Text feature allows you to display a tooltip when hovering over the tab. This tooltip can provide additional information or guidance about the tab’s content.

Icon Picker Type

The Icon Picker Type allows you to select an icon for the tab from a variety of available icon libraries, including:

  • Happy Icons
  • Material Icons

If you want to use a custom icon, select Custom Icon and upload the desired icon.

Menu Icon Type

There are two available options for Menu Icon Type:

  • Tab Type: Icons will be displayed as part of the tab.
  • Link Type: Icons will be displayed as part of a link within the tab.

Here is the tab option after selecting the tab on the menu icon type.


1. HTML

  • When you select the HTML tab option, it provides access to the WP Editor. This feature allows users to add their desired content directly within the tab, offering flexibility in displaying information.

2. Contact Form

  • Upon selecting the Contact Form tab option, an input field will appear for users to add their contact form from the given fields which display the form in the tab.

  • Contact Form Email Receiver: Enter the email address that will receive the contact form submissions.
  • Form Heading Label: Enter the label for the form heading.
  • Name Field Label: Enter the label for the name field.
  • Email Field Label: Enter the label for the email field.
  • Message Label: Enter the label for the message field.
  • Button Label: Enter the label for the submit button.
  • Select Contact Form Layout: Select the layout for the contact form from the dropdown menu.

3. WooCommerce Products 

After selecting the tab option WooCommerce Products then, It will give you four different options shown below.

  • Product Category: Enter the product category slug here. If you need to include multiple categories, separate each slug with commas.
  • Total Number to Display Product: Specify the total number of products you want to show on the front end, giving control over the product visibility.
  • Thumbnail Size: Choose from the available thumbnail size options to customize how product images appear.
  • Product Layout: Select from five different product layouts to match the desired aesthetics of your site.

4. Social Media 

After selecting the tab option social media, it will display two different options shown below.

  • Social Media Options
    • Social Layout – There are 4 different social media layouts.
    • Social Icons – By clicking Add New Social Icon, You can add unlimited social icons with icon-picker in the social icon tab shown below.

5. Recent Post – After selecting the recent posts option, it will display six different fields where you can select the post type, category, post tag, total number of posts to display, thumbnail size, and post layout.

  • Select Post Type: Display any post type that is registered on your site. This ensures that you can showcase a variety of content types.
  • Post Type Taxonomy: Based on the selected post type, this option will display the relevant taxonomy to enter the slug of the term, allowing for targeted content display.
  • Total Number Posts to Display: Enter the total number of posts you wish to show on the front end, giving you control over how much content is visible.
  • Thumbnail Size: Choose from the available thumbnail size options to ensure that the visual elements fit seamlessly into your design.
  • Post Layout: Select five different post layouts to customize how the recent posts are presented to your visitors.

6. Subscription Form

The Subscription Form feature allows you to create and customize a subscription form that encourages users to sign up for your newsletter or updates.

  • Form Heading Label: This allows you to set a title at the top of your subscription form. A clear, engaging heading can encourage users to subscribe.
  • Name Field Label: This is the text that will appear in the “Name” input field. It guides users to fill in their full name.
  • Email Field Label: This is the placeholder text for the email input field, guiding users to enter their email address.
  • Terms and Condition Label: This label appears next to the checkbox, allowing users to agree to your terms and conditions before subscribing.
  • Button Label: This option allows you to customize the call-to-action button text. It’s what users click to submit the form.
  • Select Subscription Form Layout: Next, let’s discuss the subscription form layout. The dropdown menu provides a selection of pre-designed templates, from Template 1 to Template 5.

7. Shortcode

Shortcodes
  • This option lets you add specific content or features to the tab using a shortcode.
  • Here, you can type in the shortcode that you want to use. This shortcode will show up in the tab when viewed on the front end.

  • Hide This Tab: This option allows you to hide the tab from view entirely. Use it when you want to keep the tab inactive without deleting it.
  • Hide This Tab in Mobile Only: Select this option to hide the tab only on mobile devices. This is useful for optimizing the user experience on smaller screens.

  • Icon Background: Choose a background color for the tab icon to enhance its visibility and style.
  • Icon Color: Set the color of the tab icon itself to match your design preferences.
  • Tab Height: Adjust the height of the tab to ensure it fits well within your overall design. This setting helps in customizing the tab’s appearance according to your layout needs.
