To configure url settings, click the “URL Settings” tab inside the Settings and adjust the options as needed.

  1. Open in Another Tab – This option will open the WhatsApp link in a new browser tab.
  2. URL for Desktop – There are two options:
  3. Web URL – Opens WhatsApp Web in the browser.
  4. Api Protocol URL (whatsapp://) – Attempts to open the WhatsApp Desktop App (if installed) via the system protocol.
  5. On mobile: It attempts to open the WhatsApp mobile app, but may not work consistently across all browsers.
